Artery showcases are intimate performances hosted by people, not venues. They are collaborations between the performers and people who open their homes, rooftops and yards to a pop up experience. This year, hundreds of strangers have connected to make this happen, many for the first time. In the last month alone, thousands of people have attended these showcases for the novelty of seeing something beautiful in a place they've never been.
We believe in putting people up close to performers and trusting them to make their own decisions about what they want to experience. It’s a way for anyone step outside of their own circle, even for an hour, to discover new cultures and places.
Anyone can add an idea for a popup performance. Hosts - as in regular people who want to open their homes for an hour or two – browse the ideas and offer to collaborate. Once both sides agree on the details, the showcase “goes live,” and anyone can claim a spot and receive the exact location.
